Your Right to Data Deletion
At Express Brake, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal information. You have the right to request deletion of your personal data that we have collected and stored.
How to Request Data Deletion
Option 1: Email Request
Send an email to our data protection team:

Subject: Data Deletion Request
Include:
- Your full name
- Email address associated with your account
- Phone number (if applicable)
- Reason for deletion request (optional)
Option 2: Phone Request
Phone: Contact support through the app
Response Time: Within 2 business days
Our support team will guide you through the verification process
Option 3: In-App Request
For existing users:
- Log into your Express Brake account
- Go to Account Settings
- Select "Privacy & Data"
- Click "Request Data Deletion"
- Follow the verification process
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you request data deletion, we will remove:
- •Account Information: Name, email, phone number, password
- •Vehicle Information: Make, model, year, service history
- •Booking History: Service requests, appointments, preferences
- •Payment Information: Billing details (payment methods are handled by Stripe)
- •Communication Records: Messages, reviews, support tickets
- •Location Data: Addresses, geographic preferences
- •Usage Analytics: App usage patterns, preferences
Data We May Retain
For legal and business purposes, we may retain certain information even after a deletion request:
- •Financial Records: Transaction records for tax and accounting purposes (7 years)
- •Legal Compliance: Data required by law or ongoing legal proceedings
- •Safety Records: Anonymized safety and quality data for service improvement
- •Aggregated Analytics: Non-identifiable usage statistics
Any retained data will be anonymized and cannot be used to identify you personally.
Verification Process
To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized deletions, we will verify your identity before processing your request:
- •We may ask for additional identifying information
- •You may need to confirm your request via email or SMS
- •For phone requests, we'll verify your account details
- •The verification process typically takes 1-2 business days
Processing Timeline
Standard Timeline:
- Day 1-2: Identity verification
- Day 3-5: Data deletion processing
- Day 6-7: Confirmation of completion
Maximum Timeline: 30 days from verified request as required by applicable privacy laws.
Third-Party Services
Some of your data may be stored with third-party services. We will coordinate deletion with:
- •Stripe: Payment processing data (subject to their retention policies)
- •Cloud Storage: File storage and backups
- •Analytics Providers: Usage data and metrics
- •Communication Tools: Message history and notifications
Important Notice
Once your data is deleted, the following will occur:
- • Your account will be permanently closed
- • You will lose access to service history and records
- • Any active bookings or subscriptions will be cancelled
- • You will need to create a new account for future services
- • This action cannot be undone
Alternative Options
Before requesting full deletion, consider these alternatives:
- •Account Deactivation: Temporarily disable your account without deleting data
- •Data Download: Export your data before deletion
- •Selective Deletion: Remove specific types of data while keeping your account
